We had a customer that called and asked if we could repair her computer. It was not charging correctly and she had already purchased a new laptop battery elsewhere and that hadn’t resolved the problem. She had stumbled across the following web page and felt this was the problem. http://absolutecomputers.com/power_jack_repair/
We performed a free diagnosis and determined her charging port was bad. We were able to repair her Samsung NP-RCS12 pretty quickly since we had the DC power jack for her laptop in stock.
As I was writing this, I was reminded by one of our technicians that we have done several similar repairs this week. So let me add that we did a similar DC Jack repair for customers with the following types of laptops in the last week:
- Acer Aspire 5720
- ASUS X54C
- Lenovo B570
- Lenovo Thinkpad T410, T420 and T500 (we do many Thinkpad repairs of all kinds daily)
- Samsung 700z, 700R and NP300
- Sony Vaio VPC F236
Many of these were damaged when the laptop was dropped. Others failed when someone tripped over the Laptop AC Adapter cord and jerked it from its laptop port. We offer free diagnosis and are conveniently located for folks in Apex, Cary, Durham, Holly Springs, and Raleigh.
I will mention that the Asus, two of the Lenovos and the Sony laptops were shipped to us from out of state. We offer this repair service for customers nationwide and also for resellers. If you are an IT provider or computer repair business that needs DJ jack repairs done – contact us for pricing.
